Marie is a chemical engineer with 20+ years of experience. Over the past 13 years, she has specialized in analyzing pressure relief and effluent handling systems, including developing mitigation plans for systems that are deficient. She has been a process engineer and process safety consultant with Cognascents since 2014.  Marie has extensive experience with offshore/onshore production, midstream processing, refining and specialty chemical facilities.

At Cognascents, Marie is responsible for technical quality for pressure relief system projects and process engineering projects. She serves as technical point of contact for client interface. Marie provides technical expertise for clients and serves as subject matter expert for pressure relief systems. She has developed internal and external training for pressure relief analysis and effluent handling and is responsible for training and mentoring of junior engineers on relief systems analysis.

Marie oversees technical quality for pressure relief system projects for specialty chemicals, offshore/onshore upstream, midstream and gas processing, and refining. She also provides technical quality assurance reviews of analysis and calculations. Marie manages technical aspects of projects and ensures on time delivery and adherence to schedule. Her projects range from new installations (greenfield) to revalidation of existing facilities.
